“The Myth: last day”

2022 / Kanuti Gildi SAAL

Performed at SAAL Biennaal / Tallinn , Impulstanz Festival, Sophiensaele, DRAAMA festival / Tartu, Sequences Festival / Reykjavik, Baltic Dance Platform / Riga and more.

Trailer

The performance is centered around a pre-fabricated archaeological mine, where a pseudo- archeologist digs objects from the ground, investigating the stories that they carry. It intertwines reality and fiction, creates myths, thereby constructing speculative pasts and futures.

"The Myth: last day" poses questions like who owns the objects, along with the stories that they carry? Which interpretations are regarded, which not?

The second part of the show is a black-metal-inspired doomsday-concert, it animates the ruins, explores reasons to project towards the future
