Riding a house
performed at Pre-Urbaines Lausanne, TURBO Resideny Program and Centro 316 in Mexico City

Nüganen combines elements of country music and black metal. She mixes vocal fry, balladic singing and fast auction-style speech, combining these with banjo played through distortion pedals and a bow. Drawing from both hillbilly and doom, Nüganen reflects on their shared melancholy and romanticized view on nature. When in black metal the relation to nature is one where the green world is no longer the primary reference, Nüganen explores how this could also be so in country.
