Netti Nüganen (b. 1995) is a performance artist and a musician.

At increasingly alienating times, quickly considered "normal", Nüganen (she/ her/a doomer) questions which ways of storytelling are needed, and what's at stake. Her work engages with dark ecology through sound-rich, narrational approaches. Nüganen steps into dialogue with her surrounding environment by working often with large amounts of natural materials such as clay powder, freshly mown grass, and ice. These materials become agents of storytelling. Building narratives while deconstructing them is Nüganen's method to open up space for new dramatics. Through contemporary archetypes like weightlifter, teenage vlogger, historian, cowboy, tourist and real-estate agent she looks at the present time. She examins how these characters are deployed in our collective consciousness, and the ways they operate - using the performative moment to confront and to transform.
