Netti Nüganen (AT / EE) is a performance artist and musician.
At increasingly alieneting times, quickly considered ‘normal’, Nüganen (she/her/a doomer) questions which ways of storytelling are needed, and what's at stake. Her work engages with dark ecology through sound-rich, narrational approaches.
Stepping into dialogue with her surrounding
environment, Nüganen works often with large amounts of natural materials
such as clay powder, freshly cut grass, and ice.
How to narrate our self-made disaster?
Building naratives while deconstructing them is Nüganen's method to open up space for new dramatics - using the performative moment to confront and to transform. Her works have been presented in theatres, galleries, outdoor spaces, and music venues.
