Netti Nüganen (Vienna / Tallinn)

is a performance artist and musician.

With careful deconstruction, Nüganen (she/her/a doomer) questions which ways of storytelling are needed, and what's at stake. Her work engages with dark ecology through sound-rich, narrational approaches. Nüganen steps into dialogue with her surrounding environment by working often with large amounts of natural materials such as clay powder, freshly mown grass, and ice.

"How to narrate our self-made disaster?"

Building narratives while deconstructing them is Nüganen's method to open up space for new dramatics. Her works have been presented in theatres, galleries, outdoor spaces, and music venues.
